This is something new Matt Snader is trying out. What you are buying is more than just a special edition book:

Matt’s wife, Marlene gave him an ultimate challenge: Lose 80 pounds and she doesn’t care if he goes Cape Buffalo hunting in Africa!! Against all odds, Matt actually lost 80 pounds, and now has a hunt planned with Bushman’s Quiver, the same outfit Marvin Weaver hunted with a few years back. He is slated to hunt cape buffalo and crocodile. He might also go for a hippo, as Peter Capstick mentioned they have an unusual taste and he hasn’t been able to locate hippo meat anywhere.

What this package offers:
You will be able to follow a private Telegram channel for the hunt, as Matt prepares for the hunt, goes on the hunt. He plans to update the channel every day, as there is Starlink internet available at the hunting camp in Africa. Matt will also do phone, email, and fax updates, as he realizes many of his readers to do not have Internet access.

During the hunt (and in preparing) Matt will keep a daily journal. This, along with other hunting notes, accounts from the guides, and input from Tom the Alaskan Homesteader (who is also going along), will be compiled into a hardcover, full-color special edition book. This special, autographed edition is only available to those who have purchased this package before Matt leaves on the hunt. Once he sets foot on the airplane, you cannot buy this anymore (Matt will put together a soft cover edition available later, but it won’t be the same as this one).

Matt will be hunting with a Big Horn Armory Black Thunder lever-action chambered in .500 Smith & Wesson Magnum. More info on this rifle here.

After returning from the hunt, Matt will have the books printed, and then autograph and write a personal note of thanks on the inside cover. We expect this book to quickly become a collector’s item and soon be worth more than the initial price of the book and package.

Note: Title and cover photo will change to reflect the hunt. For example, if Matt loses a leg to a hippo, that might make it into the title. Or, if Tom the Alaskan Homesteader is hauled off by an angry crocodile, that might also be reflect in the book title and cover (hopefully Tom doesn’t read this part).

You will receive your special edition, autographed, hardcover book by Christmas 2027.

Some caveats: If the hunt is rescheduled, then we reserve the right to release the book at a later date. In the unlikely event something kills or eats Matt, you might never receive your book or a refund. But we will do our absolute best to avoid this scenario. Matt’s hunting guide has said this is very unlikely and he expects Matt to return home in good condition. If the book runs late because of printing and or shipping delays, then we will not issue any refunds (unless it never shows up at all).

Page count is to be determined, but book size is expected to be 9″x9″ and 200 pages. This could vary significantly, but will be a minimum of 100 pages and a maximum of 300 pages.
